We Were Here

We Were Here takes a deep and reflective look back at the arrival and impact of AIDS in early 1980s San Francisco, that wellspring of political and social progress pushed forward by the likes of Harvey Milk and others in the Castro Street neighborhoods.  The film explores how the city’s inhabitants, and by proxy communities throughout the world, were affected by that calamitous epidemic.  This film is co-presented by Out at the Movies Winston-Salem.
